Tibetan Heart Yoga
Tibetan Heart Yoga is a style of yoga that combines inner and outer methods of yoga—using the breath, the body and the mind together—to create phenomenal personal results. By working from the inside with meditation and intention, as well as working from the outside with our asana (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing), we learn how to practice true yoga. We learn how to “yoke” ourselves to our ultimate potential. We begin to understand how our thoughts create our world, and how we can manifest our deepest aspirations by applying this wisdom.
Beginners will learn how to perform the yoga postures and establish a strong foundation for their practice. More experienced yogis will recieve the benefits of a practice that harnesses the power of our prana (energy/life force) and helps us relate to our body on a level beneath the gross physical plane. No matter what your level, be prepared to transform yourself, re-image your perception of the body, and explore your understanding of the inner body’s relationship to the outer world.
Taught by certified Tibetan Heart Yoga instructor Annie Wong, using meditation, imagery, and physical asana taken from ancient texts.
